Sitting here for quite some time
I'm really quite upset
Hoping for that great big catch
Glad I took no bets

Fish are jumping yes I know
This place was quite a find
Don't know what I'm doing wrong
All my fish have dined

Bait is gone but not one catch
Each one just got away
Don't know what I'm gonna do
Been here all darn day

Guess I'll have to pack it up
Get myself in gear
I have lost my confidence
What to do is clear

I can lie a little bit
Say one got away
Then I can console myself
And buy the fish today.
